The Greatest Thing I Have Ever Done

Was marry my husband.

But NaNoWriMo is a close second. Just finished my novel. It's nowhere near readable, and I don't know if it ever will be...but it feels great to have finished something and there are ALWAYS revisions.

Enough writing though, time to take a break! Happy to have time for blogging again though :o).

The Journey Continues...

NaNoWriMo continues to challenge me. I'm certain what I have written is terrible but I am having a lot of fun, and never before have I written 22,000 words, on any subject. I imagine I won't be able to say that by the time I get my degree, but I'm also hoping that 22,000 will become 50,000 by the 30th.

School is going well. I was able to post my first 2,000 words from my novel as my second Rough Draft so that really helped. Also, finished my Anthropology paper in the nick of time, and I have a 100% grade in The Reading of Shakespeare. Gonna start working this week on getting the ability to register for Intermediate Algebra. I am really hoping to finish the class by March 19th, thus guaranteeing me the ability to transfer in Fall, as I am dreaming. Trying not to get my hopes up but I think it is a bit late for that, lol. I'm pretty confident I can do well, but first I need the teacher to give me the okay to add to his class after everyone else has done so. If I can get that, then it's game on for transfer. REAL COLLEGE HERE I COME!

I really can't wait.

Writing is going really well. Life is going well. Guess these meds are working! I've done 3,300 words today, and I want to do another 3,300 before I go to bed, so I guess I better get started on that. 25,000, here I come!

Even God Sleeps Sometimes...

I am too tired to do anything but brag: I wrote six THOUSAND words today, bringing my word count up to 11,772. This makes me happier than a pig in what pigs like to be in. It's an incredible amount of writing for one day, and I am exhausted. I can now look forward to a guilt-free weekend...that I will probably sleep through.

I Can't Get No

I'm taking a bit of a break. I am still behind on my word count, but I've written three thousand words today alone! I'm a little burned out. I've got to finish my reader responses, and also write a short essay on Midsummer's Night Dream (which I still haven't read). My paper for Anthropology is due on Tuesday and I've found only one source.

But the important thing is that I'm only a thousand words behind. Well, behind the conventional count. I actually need to do 2,000 words a day (that way I can take 5 days off--like this weekend for the big Engagement Extravaganza for my eldest sister). So technically I'm 2,400 words behind, which is a day if you can't count. If I don't get them done tonight, I'll need 5 thousand words tomorrow.

Let's not be silly.

I'm at 5,607 right now, and I need to have 10,000 by Saturday morning. Oi. So if I do 2,500 tonight and 2,500 tomorrow, I'm golden.

I guess now is the time to go back to writing. It's going relatively well. The plot is flowing well, although some (most) of the sentences individually embarrass the hell out of me. Thinking about using the first scene as my Rough Draft tomorrow. That would require reading it, which I am loathe to do. And since I have a 100%, I could not even do the assignment and still get an A. So I'll probably B.S. it. The truth is I'm sad I'm not learning anything, but I accept that that is just something that will happen sometimes, and I'm thankful for the much-needed padding to my G.P.A.

Ugh. The distractions! Back to the writing!

Super Brief Blog Post

NaNoWriMo continues to challenge me. It is hard to silence the inner editor! So far, 3,095 words. Hoping to do another 3,000 today, to catch up. We'll see!
